33rd Annual Tacoma Aroma 7’s Tournament

Welcome to the 33rd Annual Tacoma Aroma Summers 7’s Tournament, and this years Pacific Coast 7’s Qualifier. This years tournament will feature 16 of the best men’s teams and 6 of the top women’s teams in the Northwest. We will also have the top teams in the Pacific Coast battle it out for 2 seeds to Nationals. This year’s Aroma 7’s Tournament will be held on Saturday, July 31st 2010 at the Portland Ave Play Fields in East Tacoma. The Tacoma Aroma 7’s Tournament is the biggest, best and longest running 7’s tournament in the Northwest ! ! !

At this years 7’s Tournament will have the following:
1. Three fully lined fields, with retention ropes up.
2. Warm up area for all teams
3. All teams are guaranteed at least three games
4. Concessions and Tournament Shirts
5. The top 7’s teams from the Pacific Coast

Cost:
$250.00 per team for the Tacoma Aroma 7’s (delinguents will be charged $50.00 late fee)
$500.00 per team for the Pacific Coast 7’s Qualifier
entry fee deadline is July 15th 2010.

Tacoma Rugby Club 7’s Practices

The Tacoma Rugby Club is currently practicing for the 2010 Summer 7’s Season. Practices are every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 till 8:30 PM. Tacoma’s practices are open to everyone.

The Tacoma Rugby Club is currently running 4 sides for this years Summer 7’s Season. The Tacoma Rugby Summer 7’s Program is open to all players new and old, boys and girls, men and women. If you are interested in playing or just comming out for a run, we practice every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30 till 8:30 PM. We practice at the Portland Ave Play Fields in East Tacoma.

Need something new in your life. The Tacoma Rugby Club is currently seeking women of all shapes and sizes to form a women’s rugby team in the Pierce County area (Tacoma). No experience is needed.

Dues for the 2009 Fall Season and 2010 Spring Season are now due. Players must be in Good Standings as a minimum for Selection Consideration. Fall Dues are due now for player eligibility.

2009 Tacoma Aroma 7’s

The 32nd Annual Tacoma Aroma Summers 7’s Tournament, the longest running 7’s Tournament in the Pacific Northwest, was once again a huge success. This year’s Aroma 7’s Tournament was held on a beautiful sunny Saturday, July 25th 2009 with highs in the low 90’s. The tournament was played at Chambers Creek Fields in University Place, the best fields in this years summer 7’s series.

We had 16 men’s teams and 4 women’s teams competing on the day. With Somoa One vs. Chuckanut in the Cup Final, Libery vs. Valley in the Plate Final, Tacoma vs. Western Washington in the Bowl Final and the Mudhens in the Women’s Final. Somoa took it to Chuckanut winning the Cup Final. The Liberty boys downing the Valley Men in the Plate Final. In the game of the day Tacoma losing by 2 to Western Washington in the Bowl Final with no time left. And the Mudhens winning the Women’s Final.

Next years Tacoma Aroma 7’s Tournament and Pacific Coast Qualifier will be held on Saturday July 31st 2010. Stay tuned for more information.
